GETTING STARTED

From purchase to roleplay.

Every ped is delivered to the Cfx.re account you checked out with. Open Portal CFX, go to Assets, then follow the steps for your version.

Escrow

Transfer the license to your server.

Escrow assets only run on the Cfx.re account that holds the license, so move it to the account that owns your server key.

On Portal, open Assets and select the asset.
Click Transfer at the top of the list.
Ask the server owner for their Cfx.re username first, so it goes to the right account.
Enter that username in the pop-up and click Transfer.
The receiving user gets an email. Click Confirm transfer request to finish.

One time only. The license leaves your account for good: you lose it in Keymaster, and the transfer cannot be reversed or repeated.

Open Source

Download, clean up, upload.

You get the unlocked master files, which you need if you want to add clothes later. No license transfer is needed.

On Portal, open Assets and find the ped.
Download the file.
Unzip it and check that the ped folders are inside.
Delete the .fxap file. Only Escrow needs it.
Zip the cleaned folder again and keep it as your backup.

Do not transfer it. Transferring an Open Source license removes your download access. The files are for your own servers only: do not share or resell them.

Install the peds on your server.

Same steps for Escrow and Open Source once the files are on your server.

Create a folder named [peweped] inside your resources folder.
Drag every ped folder into [peweped].
Add this line to your server.cfg:
```
ensure [peweped]
```
Add the peds to your ped menu. With Illenium Appearance (recommended for add-on peds), open illenium-appearance/shared/peds.lua and add each ped model name in the same format as the existing entries.
Restart the server and test each ped in game.
