FiveM Server Metadata Moves to Cfx Portal: October 2026 Update
Cfx.re confirmed the server metadata rollout on October 21, 2026. Review your FiveM listing, check image sizes, and use this practical owner checklist.
FiveM server owners have a new place to manage their public listing. Cfx.re announced the change on October 14 and confirmed its rollout across FiveM and RedM on October 21, 2026. Information checked on October 24, 2026. Official announcement and rollout confirmation.
What changed
Server names, descriptions, tags, language settings, imagery, and the associated Discord link are now managed through the Cfx Portal. Cfx.re backfilled information where recent historical data was available. Missing information requires manual configuration. Source.
The announcement specifies:
- A maximum of five unique server tags.
- Recommended banner dimensions of 2560 × 280 pixels, with a minimum of 1825 × 200.
- Recommended profile image dimensions of 512 × 512 pixels, with a minimum of 256 × 256.
These dimensions apply to server listing artwork. Image and tag requirements.
Review your public listing
The following is an editorial checklist, rather than a description of exact Portal button names.
Before editing, have the account access needed to manage your server and copies of your approved artwork. Save your current description and take a screenshot of the public listing for comparison.
- Sign in through the official Portal and locate the relevant server.
- Review the public name and description for accuracy.
- Choose tags that describe the experience players can actually join.
- Check that the language setting matches your community.
- Prepare artwork at the published dimensions and inspect its crop.
- Verify that the Discord destination belongs to your community.
- After saving, compare the public listing with your intended changes.
Ask another team member to review readability and links. Check whether players can connect separately.
Troubleshooting incomplete information
If the listing reports missing server data, review the Portal fields first. Cfx.re identifies unconfigured metadata as a cause of that message. Missing-data explanation.
If changes do not appear, record what you saved, when you saved it, and what the client displays. Avoid changing unrelated settings while investigating. This article does not establish a guaranteed refresh time.
For artwork, keep a separate wide banner export and inspect the result at the size players will see. Keep essential text readable after cropping.
What this update means for your community
Review the listing as a player would: can someone identify the community, understand its roleplay style, and find the correct Discord destination?
The cited announcement does not establish an FPS improvement, a change to ped streaming budgets, or a fix for script performance. Investigate those issues separately with evidence appropriate to each problem.
